Kick Back, Prospect, and Enjoy the Winters !!!
Place a bid
I have my settings for bidders set pretty high, so you will need to contact me with your name and phone number and I can them put you on my exempt bidder list.
I do this because of other eBay sellers and what seems to be their aquaintenances which like to sabotage your feed back just to build themselves up.
No matter if you have 0 feedback or a 100 feedback I would like an e-mail with contact phone number and we will call you on our dime if we feel it is necessary. If a bid is placed with no phone number it will be cancelled immediately. No offense, but that’s how it has to be now days. The deed to this unpatented mining claim is guaranteed upon payment. There are no liens or encumbrances on it. There is no tax on an Arizona unpatented mining claim.
This is a160 acre Quartzsite, Arizona unpatented gold mining claim near the east base of the Plomosa Mountains roughly 13 ½ miles outside of Quartzsite, Arizona.
Quartzsite area has a lot of old historical mining history.
Quartzite offers some of the most beautiful winter weather this time of the year with many warm and dry days unlike some of the mountainous claims we own and in other areas of the state. All Arizona is not warm and dry in the winter.
This claim is actually about 11 miles NE by air from Quartzsite and about 30 miles east of the California border and about 35 miles east of Blythe, California and about 100 miles west of Phoenix. The claim is 2640 feet east to west and 2640 feet north to south. This claim is located and recorded in LaPaz County. I do own a few claims in this area. There are many old mines, caves and diggings in this area. You can drive right to this claim. There is enough room to park many RV’s or travel trailers on this claim. There are many old roads and trails zig-zaging all through this claim and this part of the desert. While you are out on the claim you will find yourself quite secluded, but still close enough to all the comforts of Quartzsite.
The Name of the claim is Sun 2. The claims AMC# is 389590. The legal description is TOWNSHIP6 N, RANGE 17 W, SECTION 29. NW, SW, NE, SE 1/4's OF THE NE 1/4 OF SECTION 29.
The GPS numbers are:
NW Corner NE Corner
N.33.50.442 N.33.50.442
W.114.3.146 W.114.2.627
SW Corner SE Corner
N.33.50.020 N.33.50.020

To get to this claim from Quartzsite you will follow 95 north about 5 & 4/10's miles. Just after mile marker 14 you will actually see mile marker 15 in your sight before you turn onto Plomosa Road. You will then turn right. Plomosa Road is a good asphalt road that heads into Bouse, AZ. You go up Plomosa Road roughly 12 miles and then you will see mile marker 12. About 100 ft. past mile marker 12 you will see two lime green ribbons tied to bushes on each side of the road. Those ribbons are marking the South border line of this claim. The claim starts there and goes ½ mile to the north. Just stay on Plomosa Road and travel ½ mile past those 2 green ribbons and you will find two more lime green ribbons tied to bushes on each side of the road and a cattle sign with a lime green sign on it. Those ribbons are marking the north border line of this claim. We also own the claim that abuts this claim to the north of this claim on auction. Plomosa Road runs through pretty much the center of these claims as you can see on the map. There are different spots you can pull an RV off on these claims. The 160 acre Sun 3 claim will be coming up for sale soon. It does abut Sun 2 claim just to the north as you can see in the map I provided. You will see large camping areas. You will find this claim very easy as it is well marked with blue painted wood 2x2's with the claim corners clearly marked on each post. On the back side of each post it is also painted which corner it is such as NW meaning northwest corner. As you can see there are many different washes, roads and trails making accessibility quite easy throughout this claim. These pictures are actual pictures of this claim for sale. This is a great claim and you will find many minerals and rock specimens also on this claim. He goes down and spends a few months every winter on his claims, but this year he only got to spend about 4 weeks, so he is planning on going back down soon. While he was down there during those 4 weeks though he did find a Meteorite which he has proudly displayed on his mantel.
The opening bid will be $2,000 and the buy it now price will be $2,500 and that is a very, very fair price if not too cheap for this claim in this area especially with the accessibility this claim has. If someone is interested in the claim to the north also they can purchase both claims for the buy it now price of $4,500. You must be an Ebay member to do so.
We offer some of the largest claims for the fairest price. We don't break up large claims into smaller claims and try and sell it to you for a high price. We price our claims to a fair, honest price to what we believe their worth and what other claims in the area have sold for and there location.
I do not use the buy it now button as there are people out there who like to use the button just to end your auction and then you never hear from them again. I suspect their other sellers and their friends, but I can’t say that for sure. So if you would like to purchase this claim for the buy it now price of $2,500 you will need to contact me and you must be an EBay member we will set up payment. You will also then place a bid on the claim and once payment is received I will end the auction selling it to you. That way EBay gets their fees also.
When purchasing an unpatented mining claim you are purchasing the mineral rights, not the actual land. Along with the mineral rights comes the right to use as much of the surface as needed for your mining operation and you also have the right to stay on your claim while you are mining or just out there goofing off prospecting. Don’t let anyone tell you that you own the land on any unpatented mining claim because you don’t. This area makes a wonderful spot to spend your winters and get some gold and great rock and mineral specimens. They are not accepting any applications for patents at the time, but this may change at anytime and if so, then you would be able to submit an application for a patent and if it was approved then you would own the land and only then you would own the land and be able to do what you would do on any private property that this state allows.
This 160 acre unpatented mining claim is located near the base of the Plomosa Mountains outside of Quartzsite. By being near the base of the mountains makes the bedrock shallower and does offer you some exposed bedrock on these claims, so you won’t have to dig hundreds of feet in search of bedrock as that is the case in many Arizona claims. This claim has it all! It is a great spot for metal detecting, dry washing, and rock hounding. I even got to use my high banker last winter as there was water flowing through the washes thanks to some unusual heavy rains in this part of Arizona. There are many old mine shafts scattered all over this area. This is a very popular area for people to come to in the winter and stay in their motor homes/campers/tents/travel trailer while prospecting their claim and enjoying the beautiful weather. This area also has silver, copper, gold, alunite, barite, malachite, augite, epidote, bladed and many other minerals. There is also Chrysocolla, Turquoise. Keep in mind that when you run across chrysocolla there is usually a copper deposit somewhere nearby and this in itself can turn into something quite valuable. This is a claim where a recreational miner can recover gold with a small dry-washer and metal detector if desired and this is also a place for a person with a large mining operation in mind. You will see signs of a few old diggings which is nice because there are some holes out there already started for you to jump in and that will save time in moving the over burdens. This is one of the prettiest deserts I have ever seen with all the green cacti, and the Plomosa Mountain Range and all the different color rocks. There is also quite a bit of wildlife in this area. This is also a place where a person can find some old Indian artifacts and old Indian drawings on the faces of the cliffs. There is hundreds and hundreds of miles of old trails, dirt roads, and washes that you can ride your ATV’s, dune buggies or horses. You will see some spectacular sights while out riding your ATV’s, dune buggies, horses on these roads and trails.
Quartzsite is located around 20 miles from Blythe, California. Quartzsite is a great place to spend your winters mining for gold, rock hounding, ATV'ing, horse back riding, relaxing and just about anything you would want to do. It seldom rains in this part of Arizona. It is just warm and sunny in this part of Arizona. Quartzsite itself is a great spot. It has one of the largest rock and mineral show that I have heard about or seen. People come from all over the U.S. and abroad to participate and buy and sell their rocks, gems, and minerals. Many of the local miners sell their gold in Quartzsite at the shows. He has sold gold there himself on and off for the last 30 years or so. It is not unusual for a million people to show up for one of the shows. Vendors and people usually start showing up in Quartzsite around October to March. They spend 4 or 5 months there every year and they will spend every day selling and buying. Many people also bring flea market items and set up and sell which you may to if you desire to. If your sick of trying to sell your items in a garage sale bring it here, it will sell. Quartzsite has everything a person could want such as fine dining, grocery stores, hardware stores, lumber yards, mining equipment, RV parks, fast foods and truck stops with showers and gold buyers right in town if you are interested in selling your gold. There is a man and wife that sells metal detectors, dry washers, new and used, and about anything you would need to go enjoy yourself on your prospecting adventure. It's just a real neat spot!!! There are some real nice mobile and RV parks that you can rent and have a little green yard right outside your door in Quartzsite if that's what you desire or you can stay in the desert on your claim for free. This is a place where you can meet people from around the world or just stay to yourself. There are also many old ghost towns located around this part of Arizona.
Another unique sight in this area is know as the "Bouse Fisherman Intaglio." The parking area to this intaglio is located at mile 7 ½ Plomosa Road. You may view some information about this at: www.hows.org.uk/personal/hillfigs/foreign/bouse/bouse.htm
The starting bid will be $2,000 and buy it now is $2,500. You must be an EBay member to buy it now. If you wish to do the buy it now option we'll communicate through e-mail or phone, and set up pay arrangement and you will place a bid on EBay. As I said above I do not use the buy it now button as people will click on the button therefore ending the auction and then you never hear from them again costing me time and money. The buy it now is good throughout this auction and I have the right to end this auction at anytime as I have this claim listed elsewhere. If the auction does not sell through buy it now, the auction will continue until the end. If you are the winning bidder payment will be due within 5 days by money order or cashier check. Once payment is received and clears a deed will be signed and notarized transferring ownership. Then either you can or I will send the deed off to the LaPaz County recording office and BLM. I prefer to do it myself that way I know it is done on time and right. This makes transferring of the claim go very smoothly and I do pay the recording and transfer fees when I do it. If you have any questions, e-mail me. He is out prospecting a lot so it may take a day or two to get your answers. So if you got cabin fever or are just sick and tired of sitting around all winter at home this is the place to be!!
The paper work is all up to date until September 1, 2008 and then the new owner will need to file and record their annual labor with La Paz County recording office and BLM on or before September 1st of each year. All this will be explained to the new owner. As long as you own 10 claims or fewer all you have to do is work this claim 6 hours per year and give BLM $10 to process your annual labor and record your notarized annual labor form with LaPaz County and send a copy to BLM along with your $10 fee. I will also send the new owner all the paper work they will need to file for the up-coming year along with maps and other useful information and the addresses of the recording office and BLM.
This is a legal claim. This claim is legally recorded with the LaPaz county recorders office and Arizona BLM. All corners are marked very well and easy to identify. You will not be standing out in the desert scratching your head looking for a corner post that does not exist like many people do. He even takes the time to paint the post and paint the numbers quite clearly on them so these post will stand out now and in the future for you.
We have helped many people from young to old, Mom and Pop’s find just the claim they want and will enjoy for many years. We want people to enjoy prospecting/mining as much as we do as that is the way it should be.

GPS reading will be supplied to all claim buyers. We don’t try to act like that’s a special bonus your getting. Your entitled to them. As far as literature on how and where to find gold in the desert there is a ton of books over the internet and at book stores. Ranging from $3 and up. We do not try to offer book writers words photocopied on paper as a bonus. We don’t mess with other people’s copy rights.
But we do price our other claims accordingly such as our claims in the Bradshaw Mountains, Prescott, and Quartzsite areas. These claims in these areas are more expensive for the simple reason there is more gold in these areas.
